Agreement A — Groupage cooperation framework
Agreement A explains, in plain language, how two independent forwarders cooperate on a shared groupage service using GLS.
It provides a shared operational framework while allowing each company to retain its own legal entity, accounting systems, and commercial agreements.

1. Who is involved
A groupage service in GLS is formed between two partner companies. Each partner operates as a separate GLS tenant and legal entity.
Either partner may onboard the other using the GLS onboarding wizard. The service pairing is only completed once both partners explicitly approve.
New pairings start with a 30-day zero-cost, zero-obligation trial. The service activates permanently only if both partners subscribe.
2. What a service means
A service represents an agreed lane and operating pattern. Services are directional, with separate rates and economics per direction.
Profit is calculated per completed trailer and shared 50 / 50 by default, unless otherwise agreed for a specific service.
3. Trial period
During the trial period, both partners have full access to the agreed service. The trial allows validation of shared visibility, planning, and settlement.
4. Settlement and adjustments
GLS generates monthly settlement summaries per trailer. These summaries support reconciliation but do not replace invoicing.
Any exceptional adjustment is agreed externally and handled using standard debit or credit notes.
This page describes the operational framework used by GLS. It is not legal advice and does not replace external contracts.
